Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, with his visionary approach toward Good Governance has evolved as an epitome of change. His efforts to bring about a change in power and politics while ensuring transparency at various levels have established him as a great leader over the years. Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, while addressing as the Chief Guest at the function, addressed him as the real champion of change in Haryana.
The Champion of Change selection committee headed by Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Former Chairman of the Human Rights Commission, Justice K.G. Balakrishnan presented the first ‘Champion of Change Haryana 2021 Award’ to Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Other members of the selection committee include Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra, Advocate Nandan Kr Jha, well-known media personality Dr. Ved Pratap Vaidik, and Former Ambassador, Dayakar Ratakkonda.
Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya was present as the Chief Guest and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal as a special guest in a programme organized in Chandigarh today.
Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya, in his address said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has dedicated his entire life to the service of society and in the last eight years, he has worked with transparency. He added that he has been a pioneer in establishing good governance in the state. A new era has ushered in. Revolutionary step to curb corruption and ensure the benefits of the government schemes to the last person standing in a queue in a transparent manner is highly commendable. He added that in a true sense the Chief Minister has fulfilled the dream of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
In Haryana, unprecedented work has been done in sports, education, agriculture, health, products, social justice and empowerment, and infrastructural development. The credit for this goes to the Chief Minister and his team as well as the people of Haryana who have always supported the Chief Minister.
He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is the biggest champion of change .He has taken the country to new heights and thus with his love and blessings, the Chief Minister has played the role of investment catalyst.
He said that social change has also started in the state under the guidance of the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Extending best wishes to the award winners of Champion of Change Haryana 2021, he said that this award is not for your own self, but for the society and region for which you have worked. He added that winners are the real heroes of positive change.

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that today is a day of pride for us and the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy is also doing commendable work in last few years. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that the progressive farmer who will make ten farmers like himself will be honoured with the Champion of Change Award next year.
The Chief Minister said that some people come to politics to enjoy power, but they have entered politics with the spirit of public service and in the future, more new schemes will be made to increase the ease of living and happiness index of the people of the state. 25 personalities of Haryana, who was honoured with the Champion of Change Haryana 2021 award for doing excellent work in the field of sports, education, agriculture, health, social welfare, music, and culture media. Rajya Sabha MP, Kartikeya Sharma, Para Olympian, Deepa Malik, Olympian, Neeraj Chopra, Singer Richa Sharma, Actor Yashpal Sharma, Cricketer Virender Sehwag, Wrestler Babita Phogat andĺ her father Mahavir Singh Phogat, Kanwal Singh Chauhan, Sumit Antil, Kr Nitu Ghanghas, Lt Col Randeep Hundal, Dr. Naveen Bhamri, Pradeep Mohanty, Rupesh Pandey, Sunil Bansal, Nauksham Chaudhary, Rahul Kale, Ritesh Rawal, Karnail Singh Cheema, Dr. Gayathri Vasudevan, Mohammad Habib, Amit Kumar, Dr. S.V.
