The Haryana government is giving subsidies up to 75 percent on solar pumps under the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme. Farmers can apply on http://pmkusum.hareda.gov.in portal till May 15 to select the capacity of the solar pump. Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the farmers who had applied for 1 HP to 10 HP electricity based agricultural tubewells from the year 2019 to 2021 can take advantage of the PM Kusum Yojana.Farmers can save diesel expenses by adopting solar energyHe informed that now farmers will not have to depend on electricity for cultivation purposes. He said that by adopting solar energy, the diesel of the farmers will be saved which will significantly enhance their income. In order to benefit the farmers, the government is also focusing on micro-irrigation.
