IEPĀ Chandigarh, June 30
With the tireless efforts of Punjab Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, the work of laying steel girders over the railway line for Nangal Flyover has been started today. While divulging details, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that this part was the biggest reason for the delay in the construction of Nangal Flyover. He said that 15 steel girders are to be placed on one side of the railway line, out of which a total of 5 have been installed earlier and out of the 5 main girders to be placed over the main railway line after the approval of the Railway Department, 3 steel girders have been placed today, and remaining 2 steel girders will be installed byĀ July 4th, 2023.He said that it would pave the way for the traffic on one side of the flyover which would be opened for public very soon.Mr. Bains said that work of this flyover was to be started on 6 January 2018 andĀ supposed to be completed in 2020, but if the representative from the constituency in the previous government who held prominent positions should had made little efforts, then the people of Nangal would not have faced any problems and the economy of this city would not have been hurt.It is worth mentioning here that the shifting process of the Kusht Ashram was also going on very fast and full cooperation was being given by all the residents of the Kusht Ashram due to which the road connecting with the flyover will also be ready soon.
