Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal said that the present state government is a farmer-friendly government and always cares for farmers. Whether it is a matter of crop damage due to natural calamities or not getting the right price for the produce, our government provides financial assistance to farmers in every situation. In the same vein, today more than Rs.31 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 29,438 farmers in 7 districts as compensation for crop damage (wheat, mustard and barley) in the Rabi season 2022-23.
Under the Rabi season 2022-23, a claim of Rs. 16.42 crore has been released in Sirsa district, Rs. 10 crore 31 lakh 65 thousand in Rewari, Rs. 1.89 crore in Bhiwani, Rs. 1.44 crore in Kaithal, Rs. 1.36 crore in Kurukshetra, Rs. 35,900 in Faridabad and Rs. 18,000 in Panchkula district.
Sh. JP Dalal said that in the past 9 years, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has taken many welfare decisions in the interest of farmers.
“Our government is working to strengthen farmers. From the year 2014 till now, in these 9 years, about Rs.11,000 crore have been transferred directly to the accounts of farmers as compensation, previously, when farmers took their crop to the market, they did not receive payment for six to seven months, but our government has created a system in which farmers do not face any difficulties in selling their crop.” said the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister.
Sh. Dalal stated that the present government has transferred money to the accounts of farmers within 72 hours. Not only this, before the year 2014, only 33,507 hectares of land in the state came under micro-irrigation, but in the tenure of the present government, today 4,26,636 hectares of land is irrigated by micro-irrigation system.
