Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Chairman, Sh. Subhash Barala said that the state government will form the ‘Haryana Farmer Producers Organisation’ policy to make farmers in the state more economically empowered. The terms and conditions of the policy will be simplified according to the needs of the farmers.
Sh.Barala gave this information after chairing a meeting of stakeholders on the ‘Haryana Farmer Producers Organisation’ policy here today.
Sh.Barala, who also serves as the Chairman of the Haryana Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran executive committee, stated that Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal is concerned about farmers’ financial well-being. He wanted that the policy of the ‘Haryana Farmer Producers Organisation’ be finalised after considering the views of the ‘Haryana Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran’.
Sh Barala said that most of the farmers still practise traditional farming, while the demand of the time is to adopt modern farming methods and get better prices for their crops or products through marketing. He held detailed discussions with stakeholders, including officers from the agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry, and banking departments, progressive farmers, and other stakeholders, and sought their suggestions too. He also sought suggestions from some farmers on how to solve problems encountered in establishing projects and earning more money.
Sh. Barala, while presiding over the meeting, discussed the business model of ‘Haryana FPOs’, the current need for ‘Haryana FPOs’, and the problems faced by FPOs. He said that he is confident that the ‘Haryana FPOs’ policy will have favourable outcomes in the future and farmers will see its positive results which will gain more trust in the present government.
CEO,Haryana Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran Sh. Bhupendra Singh, Director, Horticulture Department, Sh. Arjun Saini and other officers remained present during the meeting.
