Haryana Vigilance Bureau nabs E/ASI and Patwari accepting bribes

Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested two government officials red-handed while accepting bribes worth Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. Both have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Sharing the information here today, the spokesperson of the Bureau said that first case is related to Hisar district wherein the SVB team has caught E/ASI Dharampal of CIA Hisar while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from complainant Dinesh Kumar of village Mirchpur now living at Sanjay Nagar, Balsmand Road, Hisar.

The complainant approached the Bureau alleging that E/ASI demanded bribe in lieu of not taking legal action against him in a case related to giving his licenced weapon to another person for photo purposes. He also threatened him that if the demand is not fulfilled, he will take action against him.

The SVB acted promptly on the complaint and a team in the presence of duty magistrate arrested the accused E/ASI while accepting bribe of Rs 15000.

The spokesperson further said that in another case Amarjit, Patwari of HSIIDC, Rai, Sonipat has been caught red-handed by the Vigilance Bureau while accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 from a farmer in Sonipat district.

Complainant, a resident of Garhi Bala informed that accused Patwari was demanding bribe in lieu of preparing the papers for the release of compensation of his land acquired by the government for the construction of KMP expressway in 2006. Accused Patwari told that he will get a compensation amount of Rs 18 to 22 lakhs as well as interest after the court decision. For this, he will have to pay Rs 75,000 to him. The deal settled at Rs 40,000 and the farmer gave Rs 20,000 in advance due to compulsion. After the complaint, the Vigilance team laid a trap and arrested the accused Patwari taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.

A case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation is underway.

Haryana has done an exemplary work in Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign: PM

The Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi once again praised the work of the Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. He said this in his address at the inauguration of Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, the Prime Minister further lauded the work of the Haryana Government and said that Haryana is today one of those leading states in the country where every household has been connected with piped water facility. Similarly, the people of Haryana have massively contributed to the success of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.

While highlighting the achievements of the sportspersons of Haryana, the Prime Minister said that fitness and sports are part and parcel of Haryana. The players are bringing laurels to the country by performing outstandingly in the international sports events. Similarly, other states should also take inspiration from Haryana and move on the same lines.

This is not the first time that the Prime Minister has praised the work of the Haryana Government and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. Even before this, on several occasions, the Prime Minister has patted the back of the Chief Minister. In October last year, the Prime Minister had also praised the Chief Minister in a programme organized at the National Cancer Institute in Jhajjar campus of AIIMS. He said that after many decades, under the leadership of Sh. Manohar Lal, Haryana got a government which works with complete honesty. Whenever the assessment will be done, the Haryana Government led by Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal will be considered the best.

The Prime Minister had also praised the innovative approach and vision of the Haryana government. He had said that the Chief Minister worked with dedication and innovation and that some models of the programs of the Haryana Government were also adopted by the Central Government. It is noteworthy that the Lal Dora Mukt Yojana was first started in the country by Haryana, which was later implemented in the name of Svamitva Scheme across the country. Similarly online transfer policy, sports policy and many other programmes of Haryana government are being followed by other states of the country.

Prime Minister inaugurates Amrita Hospital in Faridabad

The Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi today dedicated the country’s largest super-speciality Amrita Hospital in Faridabad to the people of the country. On this occasion, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi felicitated the Prime Minister.

Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal also remained present on this occasion.

In his inaugural address, the Prime Minister said that as the country is entering the Amrit Kaal, it is very fortunate that the country is getting the blessings of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi and such a big prestigious health institute has been inaugurated today at Faridabad.

This hospital is a blend of modernity and spirituality as along with having excellent infrastructure and the latest modern technology the hospital is equally spiritual in terms of service and spiritual consciousness. This hospital will certainly become a medium of accessible and affordable treatment for poor and needy patients, said the Prime Minister.

          The Prime Minister said that he is grateful to Amma for such a big Mahayagya of service. He expressed hope that this project will become a role model for other institutions in the country.

Sh. Narendra Modi said that with the operationalization of Amrita Hospital it will prove to be a boon for not only the people of Faridabad and Haryana but also for those coming from Delhi, NCR and other areas.

Every welfare scheme formulated by Prime Minister is guided by Antyodaya principles

On this occasion, Chief Minister welcomed and felicitated the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and Sri Mata Amritanandamayi.

Later speaking on the occasion, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Prime Minister has a special connection with Haryana and only because of this love today the entire State has considered Prime Minister’s arrival at this inauguration function as a blessing for them.

“Under the dynamic leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister, the country is persistently progressing on the world map. It is really commendable that, while taking care of every poor and needy, the Prime Minister is formulating welfare schemes on the Antyodaya principles,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.  

The Chief Minister said that providing a roof over every head, implementing the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Ayushman Bharat Yojana and ensuring domestic gas connections under the Ujjwala scheme, providing clean drinking water under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Yojana are among the list of the welfare schemes which are guided by Antyodaya principles. It is only because of these unique welfare schemes that the confidence and morale of every countryman has been boosted as they strongly believe that their Prime Minister is firmly standing with them in every difficult situation.

With the opening of this hospital, the people of the state would get world-class health facilities

While, referring to the day when the foundation stone of the Amrita hospital was laid in 2016, Sh. Manohar Lal said that this sapling planted by Amma in the year 2016 has now taken the shape of a huge tree. Today is not just a hospital inauguration but ‘Yagya’ for the welfare and service of the poor and needy. This hospital will certainly play a significant role in realizing Prime Minister’s ‘Swasth Bharat’ vision.  With this, Amrita Hospital will prove to be a boon for the people of the State, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that the entire Haryana is grateful to Amma for choosing Faridabad for the construction of the hospital in the North after South.

“Haryana is continuously progressing in terms of providing better health facilities to its citizen. In the year 2014, there were only 7 medical colleges in Haryana. However, presently, there are 13 medical colleges in the state and in the coming time; nine more medical colleges including this college will be opened. There will be a medical college in every district in the state. With this, the benefit of the Ayushman Bharat scheme will reach more than 21 lakh people residing in Haryana,” added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math (MAM), an internationally acclaimed organization, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad is equipped with 2600 beds including 534 ICU beds. The hospital will offer 81 specialities for patients, which is the highest in any medical institution in the country. There will also be 64 modern operation theatres. The institution will have fully residential 150 MBBS seats, a Nursing College, and College for Allied Health Sciences. A fully automated smart lab, the largest in the country, has also been set up in the hospital.

CM exhorts Corporate Companies to adopt districts for complete eradication of TB from the state

Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today called upon the corporates to adopt a district of the state to achieve the target of making the country TB free by 2025. He said that though TB treatment services would be available in the government hospitals of the state, but in order to eradicate the disease completely all the stakeholders needed to work unitedly.

He was addressing the people present after launching the ‘Adopt a District’ initiative under Mission TB Free Haryana campaign organized at Medanta-The Medicity Hospital, Gurugram today. After the program, the Chief Minister flagged off two mobile clinics provided by Krishna Maruti Industries under it’s CSR initiative. These bus mounted mobile clinics have many facilities for medical examination like portable X ray machine and TrueNet machine etc.

Addressing the representatives of various corporate houses and doctors present in the program, the Chief Minister said that Haryana has become polio free and now we are moving towards making the state TB free. In the coming days, a campaign will also be launched to make the state free from anemia, which will be of great benefit especially for women and children. The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal also said that although measures are being taken to prevent malaria, but a campaign also need to be launched to get rid of malaria. With this, the Chief Minister said that different waves of Covid-19 are also coming from time to time due to which people are suffering. The state will also have to run a campaign to make the state Covid-19 free.

Referring to ‘Mission TB Free Haryana’, the Chief Minister said that so far 11 districts of Haryana State have been adopted by various corporate companies. These include Yamunanagar and Karnal district have been adopted by RITES Company, Panipat has been adopted by Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Sonipat by Hindustan Lever, Hisar by Jindal, Mewat by RJ Corp Ltd, Faridabad by Escorts Company, Mahendragarh and Rewari by Hero MotoCorp. Today Mankind Pharmaceutical Company has also agreed to adopt two districts of the state, Palwal and Jhajjar. He said that now nine districts of the state remain to be adopted, which include Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind, Ambala, Panchkula, Rohtak, Kurukshetra, Charkhi Dadri and Bhiwani. He has appealed to the corporate houses to adopt these districts and run a campaign to make them TB free.

Earlier, Civil Surgeon of Gurugram, Dr. Virendra Yadav informed that anemia free campaign was launched in three villages of Gurugram district namely Hajipur Patli, Sultanpur and Farukhnagar which have yielded positive results. Apart from this, now with the help of 7 private hospitals including Medanta, Fortis, Artemes, Paras etc alongwith Mission TB Free campaign, patients suffering from anemia would also be identified and treated at the block level in district Gurugram.

The program was also addressed by CMD of Medanta-The Medicity  Dr Naresh Trehan. On this occasion, Public Safety Advisor to Chief Minister Anil Rao, Gurugram Police Commissioner Kala Ramachandran, Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, State TB Officer Dr Rajesh Raju, Haryana CSR Trust Vice Chairman Bodhraj Sikri, Civil Surgeon Dr. Virendra Yadav, representatives from various corporate houses including  Ashok Kapoor from Krishna Maruti Industries were also present.

The second Phase of Start-up Warehouse, set up jointly by the State Government, HARTRON and National Association of Software & Services Companies (NASSCOM), at Hartron Innovation & Startup Hub Gurugram was inaugurated by Managing Director Hartron, Sh. Sh Mandip Singh Brar.  

An MOU was exchanged between Hartron and Nasscom to collaborate for grooming emerging startups as well as students who wish to be entrepreneurs. Startups are not just bringing innovations but are also evolving as major job creators.  

Sh. Mandip Singh Brar addressed the august gathering and motivated the young entrepreneurs invited on the day to pitch their ideas & products. 

He stated that the IT/ITeS millennium city of Gurugram has a strong entrepreneurial culture and this collaboration with NASSCOM will act as a catalyst to scale up the entrepreneurial growth of the city and State of Haryana. 

He emphasized that the Startup culture be extended to tier-2 and tier-3 cities of the State by roping in academia and exploring knowledge sharing opportunities and was of the opinion that the gambit of entrepreneurial activities be not limited to IT/ITeS and may be slowly extended to include other entrepreneurial fields as well.  

The 10,000 square feet Start-up Warehouse is an integral part of the Hartron Innovation & Startup Hub established in a sprawling campus of 3.5 acres at the IT/ITeS millennium city of Gurugram.

The Innovation Hub has been designed to house up to sixty Start-ups facilitating them to learn, work and accelerate conversion of their ideas/pilots/ventures into successful companies. 

In this phase of operations the activities will be further evolved to include virtual incubation and extend the outreach to Tier–2 & Tier-3 cities; universities and colleges of the state.  

A close working mechanism with academia has also been envisaged to create a strong attitude among students for adoption of emerging technologies thereby enabling them to come up with technological solutions for day to day problems faced by various segments of society and in the process start fruitful ventures of their own.  

The Innovation Hub along with the startup warehouse also houses a Center of Excellence for Internet of Things & Artificial Intelligence (CoE-IoT & AI) wherein multifarious incubation services are provided to startups. The objective is to trigger innovation & Entrepreneurship in the field of IT/ITeS and emerging technologies such as IoT, robotics, AR/VR & Artificial Intelligence.  

The entrepreneurs groomed at the warehouse will have a host of benefits which will help them hone their entrepreneurial skills as well as sharpen their marketing ability including Connect sessions, early stage mentoring and access to experience & knowledge by way of mentorship.

The startups groomed at the Hub will be duly selected by a committee comprising of stakeholders from the Government, Academia, Industry and NASSCOM. 

The event was attended by Industrial stalwarts; NASSCOM; officials from Hartron and other government departments such as the Department of Technical Education, Skill University etc. 

Chief Minister directs officers concerned to keep a close vigil on illegal extraction of mining material due to depletion of the ground water table

While taking serious note of the issue regarding depletion of water levels within and nearby areas of mining sites in the State, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today directed the officers concerned to install Piezometers at the mining sites to determine the status of the groundwater table.

The Chief Minister said that as mining can deplete surface and groundwater supplies and because of the depleting water table within and nearby areas of mining sites, the possibility of illegal extraction of mining material increases. Hence to keep a check on this, Piezometers should be installed at the mining sites.

The Chief Minister gave these directions while presiding over the State Level DISHA Committee Meeting held here today with the Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioner, Chief Executive Officers, Zila Parishad and District Municipal Commissioners.  The meeting was co-chaired by Development and Panchayats Minister, Sh. Devendra Babli. During the meeting, various schemes of the Centre and Central and State governments were reviewed in detail.

Member Parliaments, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, Sh. Dharambir Singh, Sh. Arvind Sharma and Rajya Sabha MP, Lt Gen. (retd) D.P. Vats, MLA, Smt. Nirmal Rani also remained present during the meeting. MP, Sh. Brijendra Singh joined through video conferencing.

Concerned miners to ensure maintenance of roads within the radius of their mining sites

Ensuring maintenance of roads within the radius of mining sites, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure that the maintenance of all the roads within the radius of 5 kilometers of any mining site is done by the concerned miners.

The Deputy Commissioners should prepare a proposal regarding the same as per the District Mineral Foundation Rules, 2017, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Age-wise tracking of children to get real-time data on the school dropouts

The Chief Minister said that the present State Government has made concentrated efforts to keep a check on the school dropouts so as to ensure that no student should be deprived of education due to any reason.  Now taking this commitment further the State Education Department will be implementing a new system of age-wise tracking of every student in the age group of 5 to 18 years, said the Chief Minister.

Under this system, the children in the above said age group who are registered in the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) data would be tracked by the Education Department so that real-time information about all such children can be collected and the actual status of the school dropout rate can be determined.

Link Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme with Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme should be linked with Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana so that eligible families have more self-employment opportunities.

Houses in the one-kilometer radius from Lal Dora to get power connection

The Chief Minister said that Power Department should explore possibilities of giving power connections to all the houses in the one-kilometer radius from Lal Dora.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister was apprised that there is 100 percent electrification in the State. who-so-ever has come for electricity connections, the department has provided the same as per the requirement of the applicant.

Hold regular meetings of district Disha Committees

          The Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to hold regular meetings of district level Disha Committees so that every important issues raised during these meetings would be tabled in the State level Disha committee so that any kind of problem being faced in the districts can be discussed immediately.

Provide connections to the eligible families under the Ujjwala scheme

While giving directions regarding cooking gas connections provided under the Ujjwala scheme, Sh. Manohar Lal said that every District Commissioner should ensure that no household is left of these connections.

He said that if any house in the state is still left with a domestic gas connection, then an immediate gas connection should be given to such eligible family.

The Chief Minister further directed the officers concerned to expedite the ongoing survey work under the Housing for Economically Weaker Sections policy to identify the potential beneficiaries in Rural as well as Urban areas in the State.

A teacher should be made the nodal officer to ensure safe travel of girl students

During the meeting, the Member Parliament raised the demand of making a system to ensure safe transport facilities for the girl students. Accepting the same, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned that a teacher should be made the nodal officer in the schools to supervise all the routes so that the girl students do not face any kind of problem.

While discussing the agenda regarding  Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban,  the Chief Minister directed that the beneficiaries whose first installment has been received, their second and third installments should also be released soon, so that there is no delay in construction of houses.

Open more Antyodaya Aahar and Atal Kisan Canteens

The Chief Minister directed that more Antyodaya Aahar and Atal Kisan Canteens should be opened apart from the already operational canteens. The Chief Minister said that with the opening of such canteens the workers and others visiting the Mandis will be able to eat good food at reasonable prices.

Entrepreneurs should adopt one ITI, sponsor & associate it with their industry: Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Sh Dushyant Chautala today said that entrepreneurs should adopt one ITI,  sponsor it and associate it with their industry. There they can train the man power required for their industry. By doing this, youth will get employment opportunities and industries will get man power at the local level according to their need.

Deputy CM Shri Dushyant Chautala was interacting with the members of entrepreneur organization named ‘EO Gurgaon’ in Gurugram. It was informed in the program that this organization comprises of entrepreneurs from 40 different fields and about 80000 personnel are employed in their units. The organization has 106 members.

The members of the entrepreneurial organization interacted with the Deputy CM on many topics and also asked him questions related to his personal life experiences concerning political responsibilities. Sh. Chautala told the young entrepreneurs that they should come up with new and innovative ideas, the state government would help them fully. He said that the industry had contributed a lot in providing oxygen cylinders at the time of Corona and now after the end of the Covid-19 era, the industry has to grow. Urging the entrepreneurs to adopt an ITI in the state, he said that we can bring machinery but trainers are not available. Machines become outdated in industry in 2 years, which they can send to the adopted ITI or Polytechnic and train the local youth. He said that there are many alternative areas which need to be thought of and youth should be trained in them. Giving examples, the Deputy Chief Minister said that there is a shortage of technicians to connect the high-tension wires of electricity. With the help of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, we got 20 persons trained in this field and today they are earning 90000 rupees each. He told the entrepreneurs that the area of NCR region is being reduced in the state, after which the restrictions imposed in the areas outside the NCR will also be reduced and entrepreneurs can set up their units in those areas. He also mentioned the government’s Padma scheme and said that to promote industrialization, different clusters have been formed in the state, in which incentives are also being given by the government to those who set up industries there.

Replying to a question, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that we have implemented a new policy by removing the flaws in the Haryana Entrepreneur Promotion Policy(HEPP), as a result of which an investment of Rs 28000 crore was made in Haryana in last two years. Most of this investment has been made in the mother units. Ancillary units related to these mother units will also come up and this will also give boost to the real estate sector. He informed that many big companies including Maruti Suzuki India Limited, JBN, ATL, Flipkart, Aditya Birla Group are investing in the state. At the same time, he informed that four different policies including startup, e-vehicle policy etc. have been made in the state so that industries can be promoted. He said that the aero defence sector would also come in Haryana, no one had ever thought of it. Now with the coming up  of the country’s largest airport in Hisar, the probability of aero defense sector coming there becomes strong. By the end of next year, four to five big companies related to global cargo are going to come to the state. He said that Hisar airport would be connected with Delhi airport after which the movement of cargo would become smooth.

Replying to another question, the Deputy CM said that Kharkhoda is going to become the second important thrust area of the state from the point of view of industrialization. He said that when Maruti came to Gurugram, no one thought that Gurugram would reach this level of progress. After this, Manesar was developed industrially in 2003. He said that good work is being done in Haryana in manufacturing, but apart from this, alternative industries like medicine, IT and ITeS, service industry etc. have a lot of scope in Haryana.

Replying to another question, Sh. Chautala said that Global City will be developed on Dwarka Expressway in Gurugram, which is a 1000-acre project. It will be the largest global city of its kind in the world. He further  said that work is underway on Metro expansion in Gurugram and we have held two meetings in this regard in the last 4 months. There are plans to provide Metro connectivity to Manesar via Global City by connecting Delhi’s Bijwasan to HUDA City Center in Gurugram.

12,500 vaccines (100 ml vials) will be made available today to contain the spread of LSD in Haryana

Haryana Government under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is carrying out the vaccination campaign to contain the spread of Lumpy Skin Disease in the state.  There are about 19,32,039 animals in the state. Till now, around 3000 vaccines (Goat Pox Vaccine 100 ml) have been distributed, while 17000 more vaccines are required in the state. 12,500 vaccines (100 ml vials) will be available by August 23, which will be distributed by August 23 and 24.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that 4500 vaccines (100 ml) are expected to be received by August 27 which will be distributed by August 28 and 29.

          The spokesperson said that till now 50 vaccines in Ambala, 300 in Bhiwani, 51 in Charkhi Dadri, 81 in Faridabad, 222 in Fatehabad, 81 in Gurugram, 252 in Hisar, 99 in Jhajjar, 60 in Jind, 144 in Kaithal, 144 in Karnal, 81 in Kurukshetra, 201 in Mahendragarh, 50 in Mewat, 50 in Palwal, 91 in Panchkula, 231 in Panipat, 200 in Rewari, 100 in Rohtak, 261 in Sirsa, 201 in Sonipat and 50 in Yamunanagar  (100 ml) have been distributed so far.

Similarly, on August 23 and 24, 515 vaccines in Ambala, 587 in Bhiwani, 258 in Charkhi Dadri, 272 in Faridabad, 645 in Fatehabad, 418 in Gurugram, 1102 in Hisar, 405 in Jhajjar, 836 in Jind, 592 in Kaithal, 1070 in Karnal, 713 in Kurukshetra, 258 in Mahendragarh, 205 in Mewat, 345 in Palwal, 190 in Panchkula, 418 in Panipat, 198 in Rewari, 430 in Rohtak, 1572 in Sirsa, 698 in Sonipat and 773 in Yamunanagar (100 ml) will be distributed, said the spokesperson.

He further informed that on the coming August 27 and 29, 185 vaccines in Ambala, 213 in Bhiwani, 91 in Charkhi Dadri, 97 in Faridabad, 233 in Fatehabad, 151 in Gurugram, 396 in Hisar, 146 in Jhajjar, 304 in Jind, 214 in Kaithal, 386 in Karnal, 256 in Kurukshetra, 91 in Mahendragarh, 75 in Mewat, 125 in Palwal, 69 in Panchkula, 151 in Panipat, 72 in Rewari, 150 in Rohtak, 577 in Sirsa, 251 in Sonipat and 277 in Yamunanagar (100 ml) will be distributed across the state.

He said that in this way a total of 750 vaccines in Ambala, 1100 in Bhiwani, 400 in Charkhi Dadri, 450 in Faridabad, 1100 in Fatehabad, 650 in Gurugram, 1750 in Hisar, 650 in Jhajjar, 1200 in Jind, 950 in Kaithal, Karnal  1600, 1050 in Kurukshetra, 550 in Mahendragarh, 330 in Mewat, 520 in Palwal, 350 in Panchkula, 800 in Panipat, 470 in Rewari, 680 in Rohtak, 2400 in Sirsa, 1150 in Sonipat and 1100 in Yamunanagar (100 ml) will be distributed across the state.

Haryana CM lays foundation stone of Regional Research Centre, Kharkhari, Bhiwani

After laying the foundation stone of the Regional Research Centre, Kharkhari and Animal Science Centre, Bahal in Bhiwani, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said that the Regional Research Centre Kharkhari will conduct research work on all subjects related to horticulture production, which will also include the collection of varieties of fruits, vegetables, medicinal and aromatic plants, spices etc. available at all places in the country and abroad.

He further said that further work will also be done to develop advanced and hybrid varieties of fruits, vegetables, medicinal and aromatic plants, spices etc. which are resistant to pests and diseases.

Addressing the gathering in Bhiwani, the Chief Minister said that being an agrarian state, today is a special day for the agriculture sector of the state. “Today we have set two milestones by replacing the traditional food grains cultivation with new technology as per the needs of the new era. We are sure that these two regional centres of both Universities will make their mark on the strength of research in our agriculture sector,” said Khattar.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 16 projects worth Rs 224.56 crore in Bhiwani. The Chief Minister also approved several local demands raised before him. An amount of Rs 26 crores was approved by him for the construction of 14 PWD roads. Also, an amount of Rs. 20 crores was approved for the construction of the new 32 roads of the Marketing Board and for the road repairs. On the demand made by the local residents for the construction of Gym, Community hall, PHC and CHC, Khattar assured that as soon as the feasibility report regarding all these projects is made, required steps will be taken. The Chief Minister assured to fulfill the demands related to the Irrigation Department. During this, he also announced that if the land is available, a Shaheedi Smarak will also be built in the Singhani village. On this occasion, Khattar thanked Gram Panchayat Kharkhari which has provided 120 acres of land for this Regional Research Centre to be built at a cost of around Rs.39 crore.

The Chief Minister further informed that high-quality plants and seeds will be made available to the farmers in this Centre. Besides this, research will be done on the development of new technologies, processing of fruits, vegetables, seeds, spices etc and further research will be done on already developed technologies of value addition.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of the Haryana Animal Science Centre, Bahal of Lala Lajpat Rai Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. The Centre will be built on an area of 9 acres of 4 kanal and an amount of about Rs. 9 crore will be spent on its construction. The Centre will be made completely ready in two years.

He informed that this Centre will prove to be very useful for the livestock owners. The main objective behind setting up this Centre is to provide timely diagnosis and treatment to the animals suffering from various health ailments.

 With the setting up of this Centre, the local livestock owners will not have to travel to Hisar or Mahendragarh for getting the treatment of their animals. Through this Center, livestock owners will be made aware of the prevention of diseases in animals. The Centre will also have facilities like surgery, obstetrics, diagnostic labs and x-rays. This Centre will also work to increase fisheries in the Bhiwani district, informed Khattar.

Khattar said that the State Government is committed to bringing Maharana Pratap Horticultural University, Karnal and Lala Lajpat Rai Veterinary and Animal Sciences University at par with Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University on the world map. And to achieve this target, regional Centres of these Universities are being opened across the State.

He said that like COVID-19, the lumpy skin disease is quickly spreading in animals and we have to take timely action to stop this viral illness. The State Government is ensuring the vaccination of 20 lakh animals. At present, 3 lakh doses of vaccination are available in the state and an order for more than 17 lakh vaccines has been placed, informed the Chief Minister.
