Canada based company Provita Nutrition expressed its willingness to invest in Haryana: Agriculture Minister JP Dalal

Haryana Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Sh. Jai Prakash Dalal said that Canada based Provita Nutrition has expressed its willingness to invest in Haryana. He added that company officials will explore investment opportunities in the state during the month of August.

        A delegation led by Sh. Dalal during the visit to Canada visited Provita Nutrition Company in Saskatoon and Saskatchewan province of Canada. He interacted with the management members of the company and apprised them regarding the business friendly environment of Haryana and also invited them to invest in Haryana. The Provita Nutrition Management Company is mainly engaged in livestock, poultry and fish feed and supplements. The Agriculture Minister also assured all possible assistance to Provita Nutrition.

Human resource exchange for embryo transfer technology training will happen between Haryana and Canada

        Members of the delegation led by Sh. Dalal also visited Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Members of the delegation had a meeting with senior faculty members from Western College and officials from the Embassy of Canada. During the meeting, it was discussed to find out the mutual interests of the State of Haryana and the Canadian State of Saskatchewan. The meeting discussed HR exchange for Embryo Transfer Technology training in the month of May next year under which HLDB will nominate 2-3 officers of the department for this training.

Possibilities will be explored for setting up of modern dairy farm facility in Hisar for indigenous cows, buffaloes and exotic animals

        The Canadian delegation headed by Sh. Dalal also visited the Rayner Dairy Research Facility at the University of Saskatchewan. He also visited the state-of-the-art facility of 200 Holstein Friesian Cow Dairy Farm with Robotic Milking Parlor at the Dairy Research Centre. Sh. Dalal also visited a dairy farm with modern agricultural management practices and said that a similar modern dairy farm facility for indigenous cows, buffaloes and exotic animals will be explored at the livestock farm in Hisar.

Discussion on the possibility of setting up a semen facility with Canadian expertise along with increasing milk production of indigenous cattle breeds

        The delegation led by Sh. Dalal, which included Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, Political and Commerce Ambassador of Toronto, Sumanne Krishna, and senior officials of Haryana Livestock Development Board, visited the University of Guelph, Canada in which experts from various fields also gave their presentations. Dr. Michael Hall of the Canadian Livestock Genetics Association and Dr. Dave Vandenbrock, member of the Canadian Swine Exporters Association, gave a detailed presentation on dairy, swine and goat genetics. Dr. Malcolm Campbell, Vice President (Research) University of Guelph and Dr. Stephen LeBlanc, Professor, Ontario Veterinary College spoke specifically about their research programme on the dairy sector. The focus of this meeting and presentation was to explore areas of cooperation for mutual benefit. The meeting also discussed the possibility of setting up a semen facility with Canadian expertise along with increasing the milk production of indigenous cattle breeds. Experts from the University of Guelph said that they want to have a stronger collaboration with the state of Haryana as they have already signed MoUs with Luwas and CCSHAU in Hisar for some research activities on dairy and agriculture.

Delegation visits Semex Genetics Farmers Cooperative Company in Guelph City of Canada

        The delegation, under the guidance of Sh. Dalal, visited Semex Genetics Farmers’ Cooperative Company in Guelph City of Canada and inquired about the facilities. Mr. Brad Sayles, Chief Operating Officer, Semex Technology and Mr. Matt McCready, CEO Marketing, Semex Genetics welcomed the delegation and also gave a brief presentation on what Semex Genetics is about and working. Semex Genetics also specializes in providing sex sorted semen, embryos, sexed embryos and Invitro Fertilization (IVF) and Embryo Transfer Technology (ETT) services. The Commissioner and Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department, Sh. Pankaj Agrawal, and Dr. Bagoria expressed interest in collaborating with Semex Genetics in connection with setting up of Sexed Sorted Semen facility at Hisar for indigenous cattle and buffaloes. The representatives of Semex Genetics expressed their interest to consider the proposal and said that they would hold talks with the Haryana officials after working out the feasibility of the proposal.

Cabinet Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar takes reign of Local Govt, Parliamentary Affairs, Conservation of Land & Water and Administrative Reforms Departments

Known for his professional commitment, Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar on Wednesday took reign of Local Government, Parliamentary Affairs, Conservation of Land & Water and Administrative Reforms departments in the presence of the Cabinet Ministers Harmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Laljit Singh Bhullar at Punjab Civil Secretariat.

Dr. Nijjar, while extending words of thanks to the party and Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, assured that he would wholeheartedly fulfill the responsibility entrusted upon him. “It was a matter of pride to have the opportunity to serve the people of the state and I assured the Punjabis to provide them with the ultra-modern civic amenities”, said the Minister, adding that we are common people thus know the difficulties of the common folk. He said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government was diligently and untiringly working from the very first day for transforming our state into ‘Rangla Punjab and our Chief Minister definitely will bring the state to the growth trajectory with his hard work, efficiency and far-sighted vision.

CABINET MINISTER FAUJA SINGH SARARI ASSUMED CHARGE; VOWS TO BRING ASSIGNED DEPARTMENTS TO NEW HEIGHTS

Punjab Cabinet Minister S. Fauja Singh Sarari today assumed the charge of office as the Minister of Freedom fighter, Defense Services welfare, Food Processing and Horticulture departments in the presence of Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur and S. Harjot Singh Bains, here at Punjab Civil Secretariat.

Bowing head before the Almighty for giving him opportunity to serve the people and expressing gratitude towards towards Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann for reposing faith in him, S. Fauja Singh Sarari said, the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant  Mann led state government is working tirelessly for every section of the society and committed for the welfare of the freedom fighters and ex-servicemen.

“The state government was working hard to further promote the food processing and horticulture sector in State, said Mr. Sarari, adding that he will left no stone unturned to bring the departments, assigned to him, to new heights.

Haryana’s first electric bus to hit in Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar roads soon, on trial basis, says Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma

Haryana Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma, who recently attended Electric Vehicle Seminar and Exhibition in European country of Norway, said that around dozens of electric buses will be introduced on trial basis in NCR region including Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar in the first phase of the Government’s plan for an environment-friendly transportation system in the State. To provide better transport facilities, around 1,000 more buses will be added to the roadways soon, he added.

He said, “A delegation led by me includes two MLAs from Haryana and high officials of the Transport Department attended the seminar. Companies from all over the world have displayed their electric vehicles at the Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exhibition in Oslo.  The vehicles and technology displayed in Oslo will gradually be available in India as well. This seminar would prove to be better for promoting electric vehicles in the state of Haryana.”

Sharma further said that Electric vehicles are the demand of today’s time. Haryana Government and the Transport Department are also going to include electric buses in their fleet. Big auto companies are working on research and development to bring new electric vehicles. More companies will come in the manufacture of electric vehicles, this will reduce the prices of vehicles and these vehicles will be available at affordable prices. In the first phase, around dozens of electric buses will be introduced on trial basis in NCR region including Gurugram, Faridabad, Jhajjar.

Transport Minister said, “Our Government is committed to provide better transportation facilities to people in the state and a decision to add 250 new buses, including mini-buses, Volvo and luxury buses, in the roadways’ fleet has been taken. Tender process is on done. There is no shortage of buses as such but steps are being taken to provide better transport facilities to the people of the State. I personally spoke to some college students and assured them of proper transport facilities.”

Moreover, Buses without permits will not be allowed to ply in the state. “I too have recently conducted random checking on roads and action was taken against violators. RTO and Roadways officials to stop the entry of private buses without a permit inside the bus stand. Now action will be taken against the officials if buses without a permit are found plying in the state,” Haryana Minister added

He said that this government will not tolerate corruption at any level and strict action will be taken if an official is found involved in such practices.

Sharma said that this transport department is running on no profit, no loss basis. Unlike other states, our ticket prices are very less. During Covid-19, this department suffered a lot in the form of revenue loss. Now the situation has improved.

 On two-member committee of ministers recently formed by the State government to find out the amicable and early solution on the issue of reallotment of land to Gaur Bhrahmin Educational Trust of Rohtak, Sharma said, “Along with State Urban Local Bodies Minister Kamal Gupta, I have presided over the first meeting of committee to find out the amicable solution on the issue of providing land on lease to Gaur Brahmin Educational Institution at Pahrawar village in Rohtak held. We have sought land-related information from the officials at the meeting. Based on facts and figures, steps would soon be taken to redress the land issues of the village.”

On opposition raising illegal mining issue from time to time, Sharma said that Illegal mining will not be tolerated in the State; at any cost”. Stern action is being taken against illegal miners. The concerned authorities have been asked to ensure that the incidents of illegal mining should be completely curbed and as per the prescribed norms, strict action should be taken against those found guilty. These officers have been asked to conduct regular meetings of the District Task Force as well as inspect the mining areas from time to time. The state government has also made penalty provisions for illegal mining more stringent.  The officers of the Mining Department have been asked to personally visit the sites where illegal mining is being done and take action immediately accordingly. 

Proposal to install solar panels on canals across Haryana: Power Minister

Haryana Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh said that the state government is paying special attention to use solar energy in the state. The Power Department is preparing a proposal to set up power plants through solar panels to be installed on canals across the state. Apart from this, state government has also proposed to install solar panels at Fatehabad branch.

        The Power Minister was presiding over the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (D-Plan) meeting held at Fatehabad today.

        Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh said that paddy stubble based plants will be set up at four places in the state for power generation. Out of these, a plant will also be set up in Fatehabad. He said that these plants will not only generate electricity but also produce compressed bio gas.

        Approval of development works in the meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee

        The meeting of District Development and Monitoring Committee (D-Plan) held under the Chairmanship of Haryana Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh approved works worth Rs.14.86 crore.

        The Power Minister directed the officers that development works should be completed within the stipulated time frame so that the accorded grant does not lapse. He added that no compromise on quality will be tolerated. The officers of the Department should expedite the construction works under D-Plan. He also directed to inspect the construction work from time to time. 

He said that in order to take this project forward, all the departments should maintain mutual coordination. If there is any problem anywhere, it should be brought to their notice. Under the District Development Plan, an amount of Rs. 14.86 crore will be spent on various development works in the financial year 2022-23.

He said that out of the total amount, around Rs. 11.55 crore will be spent in rural areas and Rs. 3.30 crore in urban areas.

        Fatehabad MLA, Sh. Dura Ram, Ratia MLA, Sh. Lakshman Napa and Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Pradeep Kumar were present in the meeting.

GOVERNOR ADMINISTERS OATH TO FIVE NEW MINISTERS IN BHAGWANT MANN LED CABINET

The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit on Monday administered the oath of office and secrecy to five new Cabinet Ministers of the state in a brief but impressive ceremony here at Punjab Raj Bhawan in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

          Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Chief Secretary Anirudh Tewari conducted the proceedings of the ceremony with the permission of the Governor.

          The Cabinet Ministers, who were sworn in the Guru Nanak Dev auditorium within the complex of Punjab Raj Bhawan, included Aman Arora (MLA Sunam), Inderbir Singh Nijjar (MLA Amritsar South), Fauja Singh (MLA Guru Har Sahai), Chetan Singh Joramajra (MLA Samana) and Anmol Gagan Mann (MLA Kharar) were administered the oath by the Governor during the ceremony. After being sworn in the new Ministers signed the oath, which was counter signed by the Governor.

          The prominent dignitaries who attended swearing in ceremony included Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Kishan Rauri, Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema, Dr. Baljit Kaur, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Lal Chand, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Laljit Singh Bhullar, Bram Shanker Jimpa and Harjot Singh Bains.

          Apart from these, AAP MLAs, senior party leaders, workers and volunteers from Punjab and dignitaries from different walks of life also graced the occasion. The function was attended by the senior officers of State Civil and Police Administration besides family members, relatives and friends of the newly sworn in Cabinet Ministers.
